Make sure the barrel and receiver are free of obstructions and excessive
lubricant after cleaning. Be sure not to leave cleaning patches or excessive
oil or grease in the bore as they can create dangerous obstructions.
Obstructions of any kind can cause damage to the rearm and may result
in serious personal injury to the shooter and/or others nearby.
Camouage rearms: Caution should be exercised to avoid exposure of
camouage patterns to solvents or insect repellants.
ASSEMBLY AND FINAL LUBRICATION
Wipe off any powder residue from the action spring and buffer assembly. Insert
the action spring and buffer assembly into the receiver extension on the lower
receiver. Place the extractor in its slot on the bolt and insert the extractor pin.
Rotate the gas rings on the bolt so that the gaps are equally spaced (Fig. 47).
